What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager a Group Accountant is responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting processes for the group’s consolidated financial statements. This role will involve working closely with the Group Accounting Manager to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting, both internally and externally. The Group Accountant will play a key role in managing financial close processes, supporting audit activities, and maintaining financial controls across multiple entities within the group.
List of key responsibilities include:
- Prepare and consolidate the group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and relevant supporting schedules.
- Support the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring the group’s financial records and processes are in compliance with audit requirements.
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
- Supporting in group related projects.
Who we’re looking for

- ACA(SA) with 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience with financial consolidation, group reporting, and intercompany transactions.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines, especially during the financial close and audit periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in English.

- Being proactive to ensure candidate learns as much as possible.

- Able to work independently and complete tasks.
- Able to draft consolidated accounts with guidance.
- Successfully collaborate and communicate within the team.
Within 6 months:
- Able to draft consolidated accounts with minimal guidance.
- Hold a deep understanding of the business processes.
- Supporting the team with wider group projects.
